MOTOR VEHICLE CLERK:


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

(A) Possession of an Associate's Degree in Secretarial Science, Office Technology, or a closely related field; OR
(B) Two years of full-time paid office clerical experience or its' part-time equivalent which included customer service; OR
(C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.


SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Regulations of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration require that prospective employees of the Department of Motor Vehicles who will be involved in the issuance of enhanced driver's licenses or non-driver identification cards, or who will administer knowledge or skills tests for commercial driver's licenses must be a United States Citizen and undergo a state and nationwide fingerprint based criminal history background check; and such search must indicate that the prospective employee has not been convicted of, or charged with, a disqualifying offense as set forth in 49 CFR and 49 CFR

The position pays $18.89 per hour (2024 hire rate) and includes a full benefits package.
