As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office.

• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and organization
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, providing necessary instruments and materials
• Take and develop dental xrays as directed by the dentist
• Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and sterilizing instruments
• Provide postoperative instructions to patients and schedule followup appointments
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical documentation systems
• Adhere to all infection control protocols, including proper sterilization of instruments and equipment
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality Skills:
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control procedures
• Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for creating dental restorations is a plus
• Familiarity with medical documentation and recordkeeping practices
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance
• Strong assisting skills, including chairside assistance during dental procedures
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
• Ability to take accurate vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse rate
• Experience with medical imaging techniques such as intraoral radiography
• Familiarity with medical coding systems for insurance billing purposes (e.g., CDT codes)
