SUMMARY
Assists in supervising the maintenance shop under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.

BONUS
The Shop Maintenance Supervisor will be eligible for a quarterly bonus. Subject to meeting performance goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises maintenance personnel. Responsible for directing departmental duties, appraising performance of personnel and disciplining employees when necessary.
- Oversees the care and maintenance of the company's fleet and facility equipment
- Schedules equipment repairs and routine maintenance. Sets priorities for mechanics
- Ensures proper maintenance and repair of equipment through daily inspection program and follows up on open items
- Orders parts, supplies and equipment when necessary
- Assists in the enforcement of company safety policies and procedures, with a special emphasis on lockout/tagout procedures
- Approves all outside maintenance vendors and suppliers
- Responds to mechanical emergencies during business and off business hours
- Issues purchase orders and schedules outside work as necessary
- Performs mechanic duties as necessary
- Assures the proper documentation of repairs and other equipment maintenance records
- Ensures fleet mechanical compliance with the BIT program
- Monitor, review, and revise as necessary, a preventative maintenance program for all equipment
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
KNOWLEDGE and/or EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of experience in maintenance working with heavy equipment
- 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role, supervisor or other management role requiring a thorough knowledge of safe working practices, DOT, OSHA and other federal and state regulations
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification or an equivalent certification is preferred
LANGUAGE
- Bilingual in Spanish is desired, but not required

$78, $82,500.00 per year
