Teaching and Learning
- Prepares lesson plans, current seating charts, and classroom procedures for substitute teachers.
- Uses a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum resources to present material in an interesting, stimulating, and effective manner.
- Collaborates with the Special Education team to meet the needs of all students.
- Identifies student's areas for improvement and create opportunities for improvement through interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Works with the Principal and Assistant Principal to ensure teaching methods are directed towards meeting and surpassing the standards.
- Provides continual assessment and accurate tracking of student progress, maintains student work records and portfolios, and completes assigned paperwork in provided timeframes.
- Conducts both student and teacher led parent conferences.
- Consistently implements required and appropriate adaptations and modifications for English Learners, Special Education students, and 504 students.
- Attends and participates in Student Success Team, Parent/Teacher Advisory Council, and other schoolbased meetings and activities as well as professional development training.
- Assumes supervision duties as determined by the site and may occasionally be asked to substitute a period.

Additionally, experience in the following areas is helpful:
- Experience teaching in an urban public school or charter school setting.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- At least two years of experience with a proven trackrecord of high achievement in the classroom
Minimum Requirements:
Salary:
$60, $70,000.00 per year
