CVCC is a comprehensive two-year institution of higher education with an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students in occupational/technical programs and university-parallel/college transfer programs.
Central Virginia Community College is seeking qualified applicants for the Associate Vice President of Arts & Sciences academic division. This is a twelve-month administrative faculty rank position reporting to the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs. Rank and salary are dependent upon the experience and education of the successful candidate.
Responsibilities include providing leadership, ongoing administrative supervision, management and evaluation of all faculty and staff within the division; implementing strategies that support students in achieving their academic and career goals; Maintaining, evaluating, improving, and marketing already existing programs, and actively creating new programs to meet the community's educational and training needs; Developing and promoting collaborative partnerships with other divisions, programs, and departments across the campus and throughout the community.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required QualificationsMaster's Degree and leadership experience.
Evidence of creating successful educational and/or training programs/partnerships to meet business, industry, high school (dual enrollment), four-year educational institutions and community needs.
Evidence of providing leadership in developing and implementing strategies to support educational programs and student success.Additional Considerations
