    CCAE's mission is to offer a wide range of engaging, affordable, high-quality classes to curious adults, in a welcoming community that sparks creativity, exploration, and growth.

    The Cambridge Center for Adult Education (CCAE), one of the oldest adult learning centers in the country, seeks a director of development to broaden and strengthen the center's current outreach efforts and provide philanthropic support that is sustainable and impactful.

    The director of development will have the opportunity to partner with a visionary executive director and engage a committed board of directors in development efforts.

    The director of development will define and articulate a strategy to meaningfully engage existing donors while identifying new individual, foundation and corporate prospects for support of CCAE; guide the executive director and the board in their roles as ambassadors and fundraisers for the organization, ensuring they are efficiently and effectively engaged in development efforts; and utilize a data-driven approach to measure performance and inform decision-making.

    Qualifications:


    The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has a demonstrated ability to articulate a case of support to a wide array of audiences to further an organization's mission and goals; a track record of success developing productive relationships with philanthropic leaders in a community and securing their financial support; and the ability to raise awareness of an institution and educate a wide audience about its key initiatives and future direction.

    CCAE is a nonprofit organization with an annual operating budget of $2 million and a staff of 16 FTEs.

    We run nearly 2,000 classes over 4 terms, taught by over 200 professionals who are experts in their chosen fields.
