The Vault Supervisor, Cage Supervisor (aka Vault Teller Supervisor) supervises the day-to-day operations of the vault as consistent with Empyreal's goals and objectives, customers' expectations, and regulatory requirements.

The Vault Teller Supervisor places value not only on what work gets done, but also how it gets done.

This newly created position is not located at a branch office; rather, the Cash Vault Supervisor works at a cash processing center in the Englewood area where you can focus on getting the job done.


Major responsibilities are as follows:


  • Communicates positively in a teamoriented work environment both in person, by phone, in writing, and through computerized and other electronic means.
  • Provides effective daytoday supervision of teller personnel.
  • Supervises the processing of all incoming and outgoing currency. Schedules employees, determines priorities, assigns work, controls workflow, and resolves problems and bottlenecks.
  • Ensures that all Federal Reserve Deposits are prepared to standard and documentation is correct.
  • Supervises daily balancing of vaults and maintains set cash limits.
  • Supervises each teller's daily reconciliation.
  • Monitors teller staff and provides feedback and guidance.
  • Assists staff with locating cash discrepancies and more complex tasks.
  • Investigates, reports, and resolves variances and operating issues and notifies appropriate managers.
  • Ensures team operates efficiently and produces high quality work.
  • Reviews timecards. Tracks and addresses attendance issues directly with employees.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of processes and procedures.
  • Ensures staff is aware of and follows all policies and procedures and complies with regulatory requirements and security protocol.
  • Trains, crosstrains, and develops employees.
  • Addresses performance, personnel, and personal conduct issues and coaches and disciplines employees as appropriate.
  • Evaluates staff's performance and conducts performance reviews.
  • Makes recommendations pertaining to employee status changes.
  • Maintains vault records and completes audits and reports.
  • Travels as requested to assist with the setting up of new locations, employee training, filling in for others, and performing other assignments.
  • Models and supports the company's vision, values, and desired culture.
  • Fills in for tellers and other personnel as needed.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

This salaried exempt position enjoys a great choice of benefits The position qualifications are as follows:


  • Associates Degree or equivalent education is desirable.
  • Three or more years of related experience within a bank, credit union, casino, or cash handling environment is preferred along with two or more years of experience supervising a team of tellers and/or vault personnel is required.
  • Excellent analytical, math skills, and accuracy are essential.
  • Must possess solid written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and banking database systems is required.
  • Familiarity with computerized timekeeping systems and cash processing equipment is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds and sometimes a team lift of up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional travel is required.
  • Must be able to work extended hours, some Saturdays, and some holidays.
  • Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity is of utmost important.

Pay and Benefits
