    Description
    This position plays an integral role in the new CX Operating Model, specifically, the GES Special PMO. The Project Manager (PM) will be a pivotal point on the team responsible for executive-level relationships at top Cisco accounts. The PM will be responsible for the execution of Cisco Client Delivery Team and our Clients.

    The Team:

    These business-critical projects apply existing or new Cisco technologies, multiple third-party vendors and multiple multi-functional teams, have high organization visibility and may include multiple locations or regions. You will be leading multiple critical projects in tight time frames for critically important network deployments for one of Cisco's largest enterprise customers.

    Role & Responsibilities:

    The ideal candidate will support GES Best-in-class PMO and Delivery teams and drive the team's work across several functional teams. Specific activities include (but not limited to):

  • Lead cross-functional, high visibility, customer-facing projects in a matrix organization.
  • Work with cross-organizational and functional stakeholders to develop and evolve long-term strategies while driving tactical activities.
  • Develop and run end-to-end project lifecycle and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Partner with functional teams during initiation, plan, design, procurement, deployment, and post deployment phases
  • Ensure risks are accounted for and provide risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate activities across many multi-functional teams, communicating through accurate channels and levels.
  • Drive internal process improvements; remove gaps, across multiple teams and functions.
  • Provide leadership to the PMO to further develop the PM role, processes and operations.
  • Drive project lifecycle achievements from concept commit through project closure and advocate change management
  • Actively drive project status reporting, issues & risks management
  • Drive continuous improvement towards delivery excellence (e.g. evaluate results against metrics; recommend or implement changes to improve delivery practices/processes)

    • Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-10 years active Project Management experience.
  • demonstrated ability in best-in-class accounts
  • Requires BS in a business or technical discipline.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven clear leadership skills and experience working with large project teams and strategic account teams.
  • Able to balance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong Communications skills
  • Solid understanding of Project Management tools.

    • Desired Skills

  • PMP and other project management qualifications
  • Experience with Cisco's Contact Center solution
  • Experience delivering Business Critical Services

    • Team orientation - working through sophisticated leadership structures to successfully apply Project Management field to the work effort

  • Work flow automation (MS SharePoint or otherwise)
  • Use of time tracking and Cisco project accounting systems
  • Strong integration of Project Management and ability to leverage tools efficiently
  • CSM certification a plus
  • Experience supporting a large, sophisticated account
  • SAFe / CSM certification
  • Experience with As a Service is a plus
