More than just a start:

Your career path begins at Wilhelm Schroeder in Herscheid.
Here, you will be responsible for tool production and maintenance for our machines.
What do we do? We process materials ranging from 5 mm strip steel to soft plastic seals and combine them into functionally integrated assemblies for the automotive industry, medical technology, and household appliances.
You will embark on your journey with a total of approximately 6 apprentices in Herscheid.
In our company, you will have the opportunity to interact with nearly 160 employees. Without exception.
After 3.5 years, you have a good chance of being taken on permanently.

And this is how your training will go:
Your training begins with the basics: manual and machine metalworking.

How do you drill, tap, and ream with precision? You will also learn machine processes such as turning, milling, and grinding.

Afterwards, you will learn how to assemble our punching tools based on drawings, read technical drawings, and program CNC machines.

Towards the end of your training, you will independently adjust tool inserts and gain an overview of all process technologies and production methods.

You will excel at this if you... * enjoy working precisely and with great attention to detail. * are not easily flustered by working with tolerances of one hundredth of a millimeter. * are meticulous and skilled with your hands. * have a good technical understanding. * have at least a good secondary or high school
