    Job Summary

    The Corporate Trainer is an intermediate-level professional position within the Human Resources Department. The Corporate Trainer designs and facilitates general and specific training programs and the design of appropriate training material/lesson plans. The Corporate Trainer Analyzes training effectiveness through course evaluations and follow-up to employees' performance associated with training. Supports the Training and Development Department initiatives throughout the organization as assigned.

    Summary of Role and Responsibilities
    • Conducts training needs assessments with managers and end-users to identify appropriate training objectives that support the strategic objectives of the Organization
    • Consults with business partners on the design and development of training programs, audio-visual materials, instructor guides, lesson plans and materials for training
    • Organizes and develops future training to support the strategic objectives of the Organization
    • Facilitates training programs within the Organization
    • Coordinates all aspects of training design and delivery including material production, facilities, subject matter experts, and scheduling
    • Monitors and reports on training effectiveness through employee job performance and training evaluations.
    • Actively maintains a working knowledge of proprietary systems and procedures
    • Maintains a system for updating training materials, monitoring training progress and documenting completed training
    • Builds and maintains training knowledge and skills
    • Special projects, as assigned
    Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet Explorer
    • Advanced problem solving skills
    • Accurate and attentive to details
    • Exceptional customer service
    • Ability to facilitate training both in-person and remotely
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels
    • Ability to positively project the Company and department
    Experience and Education Requirements
    • Five + years of experience in a mortgage operations or sales role
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in organizational development, behavioral science, human resources, psychology or related field of study
    Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in organizational development, behavioral science, human resources, psychology or related field of study
    Work Location & Environment

    Work is performed within a hybrid office and work from home environment and is based out of our Port Huron office two days a week. Standard office equipment is provided.
