The Arthur Jackson Company, founded in 1906, is the oldest and largest privately held building maintenance company in the tri-state area.

We provide service to multiple locations throughout New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Currently we're hiring for a full time District Manager to oversee locations in Delaware and Philadelphia.

The District Manager is responsible for delegating tasks and providing guidance to employees ensuring exceptional work is delivered to our clients.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Meet with the Property Manager to discuss any building related matters.
  • Ensure that Tenant Surveys are completed by Account Managers and submitted to the Main Office.
  • Ensure that Account Managers plan, organize, direct and control the workflow at their assigned location are effective and efficient, including rearranging janitorial staff assignments to provide coverage for employees' vacations, personal days and absenteeism.
  • Evaluate Account Managers and employees' work performance.
  • Ensure that Account Managers are documenting employees' work performance, conduct inspections of employees' work areas, documenting project work that is completed throughout the building, complete employee attendance logbook, verify that employees are clocking in and out daily and submitting accurate payroll to the main office on a weekly basis.
  • Conduct inspections of assigned buildings to ensure contractual obligations are met (Quality Control).
  • Provide weekly written documentation of all buildings/areas inspected to the Senior Operations Manager and Director of Training and Quality Assurance.
  • Working knowledge of chemical, equipment usage, and building policies.
  • Evaluate cleaning products, materials and equipment.
  • Report equipment needs and conditions to your Senior Operations Manager.
  • Submit any reports to your Senior Operations Manager outlining all building/tenant issues including complaints and solutions if necessary.

Required Skills/Abilities:


  • MUST have management experience in the Janitorial Industry
  • 35 years of Customer Service and/or Sales experience highly desired
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function well in a highpaced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office highly desired

Education and Experience:


  • High school diploma required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of college
  • Bachelor's preferred
  • MUST have 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Bilingual highly preferred.

Salary:
$55k - $70k annually


Work Location:
Philadelphia; may require some travel
