- Perform business analysis support for business and functional applications, including analyzing and documenting business processes and translating business objectives into business requirements.
- Consult with internal customers to identify, analyze, refine, and document business and functional requirements.
- Work in collaboration with internal staff and potentially vendor resources to develop approach, design, and project timelines.
- Identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches; ensure the technical solution meets the business objectives.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand and analyze workflow, leading to effective process improvements.
- Conduct comprehensive process analysis to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Perform business impact analysis and develop a risk mitigation strategy for system / process changes.
- Review operational procedures and methods, map current business processes, define and analyze business activities, identify best practices, and recommend improvements.
- Ensure proper documentation is maintained by Sparus Holdings staff and vendors.
- Identify requirements for testing, develop test plans, and work with users to develop test scripts.
- Develop and maintain user acceptance testing criteria.
- Execute test scripts as necessary.
- Participate in projects; lead a variety of project team activities.
- Support defect analysis and resolution.
- Bachelor's degree with major course work in business, information systems or related fields.
- Minimum of three years' prior experience in field or related area.
- Solid understanding of business practices with fundamental understanding of project management methodology.
- Knowledge of outsourced field and professional services for the gas and electric utility industry.?

- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

Are you a fit?
A successful candidate for this role will have experience in business requirements analysis and definition with a focus on optimizing and aligning people, processes, and technology, to drive operational efficiency and support business growth. The Business Analyst is responsible for translating business requirements into technology requirements, working closely with business teams, IT solutions architects as well as IT delivery teams to design, develop, and deploy solutions. The Business Analyst wears many hats on projects and is responsible for everything from requirements gathering, testing, training, and post deployment support. Other desirable traits include the ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills, trustworthiness, attentiveness, and adaptability to a changing environment. It helps to think creatively about what needs to be done and how to get there, taking the lead on tasks that others might not even have thought about yet.

Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience but starts at $85K/year and up.
