Position Title: Senior Accountant Date: May, 2024

Reports to: Corporate Accounting Manager Status: Exempt

Summary:

The primary purpose of the Senior Accountant is to provide analysis and reporting of financials, including compiling and analyzing financial information, managing account groups of the general ledger system. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation comply with regulations, professional standards, and GAAP reporting guidelines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Compile, analyze and report financial information utilizing US GAAP and professional standards.

· Serve as a liaison between external auditors and internal business process owners managing communications and coordination of the annual audit and quarterly review activities.

· Conduct/consult on technical accounting research as well as oversee compliance of accounting standards, internal controls & accounting policies. Provide remediation guidance or corrective action plans as needed.

· Perform oversight functions such as review and reporting of the balance sheet to improve visibility and consistency while monitoring for completeness and accuracy.

Assist with month end closing tasks as well as year-end closing.
Participate in other projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Exhibits strong understanding of accounting theory, US GAAP, and SOX.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
Strong understanding of accounting theory.
A critical thinker capable of initiating process improvements.
Exhibits initiative and ability to work independently.
Enjoys working in a culture of continuous improvement.
Must have advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office programs.
Experience with a national accounting firm preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor's Degree Required with a focus in Accounting/Finance preferred.

· 5+ years of experience required.

· Prefer: CPA or in process of obtaining CPA.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
