Description
Homeland Pharmaceutical Technical Assistants (PTAs) work under the supervision of a pharmacist to dispense medications, prepare ointments and other prescriptions, and test drugs and chemicals in the pharmacy laboratory for quality.
This job is characterized by personal interactions with customers, providing advice and health education to patients, and requires a strong knowledge base, a sense of responsibility, and a passion for working with people.
The 2.5-year training program consists of two years of theoretical and practical classroom instruction, followed by a six-month internship in a pharmacy.
To be eligible for the training program, applicants must have a high school diploma with an average grade of 3.
Attention:
For all students who begin the training in September 2023 and have their residence in Hamburg, the training is free of charge.
Only one-time fees are required.The curriculum includes the following areas of study: * Dispensing prescriptions * Providing advice and dispensing over-the-counter medications * Offering and providing services * Participating in business development and management * Quality control * Preparing medications
In addition, students will also learn general skills such as communication in German and English.
Upon completion of the program, graduates can work in various settings, including public and hospital pharmacies, pharmaceutical and chemical companies, the pharmaceutical or cosmetics industry, health insurance companies, as a pharmaceutical representative, or at universities or PTA
