The Supervisor of Therapy assists the Senior Manager, Therapy Services, in the oversight of therapy services. The supervisor manages and evaluates all assigned therapists.

Responsibilities:


  • Ensures that each therapist working under contract is effective in the assessment, development and implementation of the plans of care.
  • 2. Assigns therapists and assistant staff (PTAs, COTAs) ensuring a manageable case load.
  • 3. Available to receive calls from therapists as needed.
  • 4. Ensures that case conferences occur and are documented.
  • 5. Makes supervisory home visits as necessary.
  • 6. Oversees the ordering of any required medical equipment.
  • 7. Assists Therapy Manager with fall recording and documentation as needed.
  • 8. Assists with orientation of new therapy staff.
  • 9. Ensures that complete documentation is entered into the EMR within 24 hours of home visits.
  • 10. Works collaboratively with all staff.
  • 11. Has good understanding of State of Connecticut regulations and Conditions of Participation.
  • 12. Ensures that home health aide orientation and supervisions are completed per plan of care.
  • 13. Participates in staff meetings, inservice programs, other meetings, and serves on committees as requested.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION
Bachelors Degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.


EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three years clinical experience in physical therapy. Home care experience desirable.


LICENSURE
Physical Therapist with Valid (or eligible) Connecticut license.


SPECIAL SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to effectively work with and motivate staff. Must be adaptable, flexible, have the ability to learn quickly, use critical thinking, and manage people. Strong computer skills.


PHYSICAL DEMAND
Must be capable of lifting and transferring patients. Able to perform tasks involving physical activity, extensive bending, and standing.


Additional Information:
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience. Home care experience desirable.

Valid licensure in state of CT
