Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Chemical Handler.
This position is responsible for operational tasks performed in a chemical warehouse environment:
operating equipment, mixing chemicals, loading/unloading bulk products.
This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Handle and store chemicals and materials safely and according to established protocols
- Operate fork lifts, palletizers, scales, pumps, hoses, valves and other material handling equipment to transport raw material and finished product
- Follow standard operating procedures for chemical handling, prepping, mixing, and storage
- Picking and staging of Raw Materials needed for Work order.
- Check labeling, against job ticket to ensure the right material is staged.
- Process the mixing of chemical products as specified
- Identify and Wear required PPE
- Load and offload bulk chemicals
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper labeling and documentation of chemicals
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
- Promote safety awareness and comply with all applicable safety procedures/regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Safely transport materials within the warehouse using Forklifts or other designated equipment
- Perform general warehouse duties such as organizing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with inventory counts
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisor and team members to meet production goals
Drug test and background check required. Uniforms provided afteer 90 days.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse working with chemicals and mixing equipment preferred.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, drum pumps, and totes mixers.
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in executing job tickets
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Basic educational degree or High school diploma or general education diploma
- Ability to read and understand MSDS, work orders, production process, safety regulations and quality procedures and instructions.
- Availability to work in shifts
- Ability to pass Forklift Certification

Pay:
$ $18.00 per hour
