JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for daily quality control label support in the fresh kitchen and/or bakery. This includes reviewing labels, ensuring proper printing, and training production team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive.
Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.Provide assistance to all Lunds & Byerlys team members modeling company customer service standards at all timesMaintain label quality standards and foster culture of accountability and excellence Ensure proper labeling standards are met including alignment, legibility, content and use by dateMaintain label printers and troubleshoot printing issuesCollaborate with the learning and development team to develop a comprehensive label training and verification program for production employeesInvestigate any recalls or complaints related to labels and participate in corrective and preventative actions and root cause analysis Help maintain quality and regulatory documentationProvide input on label verification process and suggest continuous improvements Maintain and execute food safety programs Understand the label database and its components OTHER JOB DUTIES (Not considered essential to the job)Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducationTwo-year technical degree in chemistry, biology, food science or equivalent experienceExperienceOne to three years' experience in plant quality assurance and label verification.
Familiar with label regulatory requirements.GMP and HACCP knowledge preferredLFHI Competencies expected of all employees include:
