Our ICU sectionis growing exponentially Because of this, we are looking for individuals passionate about quality medicine, exceptional service, and helping patients and their parents This position requires someone who is hard working, motivated, and team oriented.

Veterinary Assistants in the ICU work alongside the technicians to love on and care for our hospitalized patients, so the desire to treat each patient as if they were your own is a must.

Some daily duties and responsibilities of ICU Veterinary Assistants include but are not limited to the following:

  • Caring for animals by walking, feeding, watering, and performing basic exercises.
  • Assisting in restraining dogs and cats.
  • Changing kennel bedding/materials.
  • Ensuring all kennels are clean and ready for the next patient.
  • Assisting in collecting samples such as blood or urine for testing.
  • Professionally updating and maintaining medical records.
  • Maintaining a clean work environment including laundry, dishes, and restocking.
  • Adapting to and following all protocols and standard operating procedures implemented.

Requirements:

-
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Assistant/Kennel Technician in a veterinary setting.

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of animal behavior and health care.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology.

Compensation:
$ $15.00 per hour depending on experience
