We are a CPA firm located in Cranston, RI.

We have been in business for over 30 years providing tax and accounting services to non-profit organizations, small businesses and individuals.

We are looking for an accountant to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will be well rounded with the knowledge and ability to work in tax and accounting and financial reporting fields, will be responsible for preparing and reviewing income tax returns as well as providing some bookkeeping, financial reporting and controllership services.

We offer opportunity for advancement to the candidate who possesses excellent knowledge and skill in these areas as well as demonstrating a strong ability to work independently and manage staff.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review income tax returns

Provide controllership services and perform compilations and reviews for our nonprofit clients

Work directly with clients, firm partners and staff to ensure clients' needs and deadlines are met

Qualifications

3 years experience

Strong knowledge of income tax codes, rules and regulations and an ability to conduct applicable research

Knowledge of GAAP, relevant internal controls, accounting and financial statement analysis and preparation

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Detail and deadline oriented, organized and able to multi-task

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Exposure to QuickBooks (desktop and online), CCH Access Tax and Microsoft Office Suite software a plus

Must be able to work independently as well as on a team

Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field

CPA (or CPA candidate) preferred
