Position Summary:


JFPBC seeks a Community Impact Analyst for the Community Strategy and Planning (CSP) department to help provide professional support in the data collection, analysis, and evaluation of programs funded through the Federation.

This position provides research support for Jewish Federation staff around priority areas, community needs, and engagement.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of Federation funded programs and initiatives to learn from our data and drive change in order to best meet the needs of our community
  • Implement and maintain data collection and analysis systems
  • Monitor and conduct quality assurance of monthly data submission
  • Gather relevant data from various sources, including community surveys, program and agency reports, and external research
  • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
  • Work within Federation's CRM to understand engagement trends
  • Help develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program impact for community investments
  • Provide technical assistance around impact and evaluation to community partners and Federation programs and serve as a resource for external and internal evaluation capacity building
  • Fulfill adhoc data requests from Community Strategy and Planning, FRD, or Marketing teams as necessary
  • Conduct informal and formal needs assessments to understand community challenges and emerging needs
  • Work with the Director of CSP to provide actionable recommendations and strategies based on evaluation and needs assessment findings
  • Engage with community partners, other Federation professionals, and experts to gather insights and best practices
  • Assist in the alignment of funded program goals with community priorities
  • Prepare clear and concise reports on program impact and outcomes
  • Assist the Director of CSP in creating impact presentations for Federation staff, lay leaders, and community partners
  • Communicate findings to internal teams and community partners
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to share success stories and
relevant data for Federation's case for support

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Success Factors:


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in social sciences, public administration, or related field
  • Ability to develop and conduct program evaluation plans, design and administer assessment instruments, collect and analyze data, and write reports
  • Experience building analytics reports and visualization using a variety of tools in a social sciences, Jewish, or non profit setting
  • Ability to think through problems systematically, integrate information from multiple sources, propose and implement solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with Jewish Federation staff and external organizations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to present information to both lay and professional audiences
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
  • Attention to detail and ability to organize own work processes
  • Demonstrated ability to produce deliverables accurately, with mínimal oversight, reliably, and in a timely manner
  • Data visualization skills, able to turn data into clear charts that tell the story
  • Advanced skills in Excel, advanced PowerPoint skills, and strong computer literacy overall
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work collaboratively within and across teams and departments
