  • The mission of the VCU Police department is to provide a safe and secure learning, living and working environment for the students, faculty, staff, and visitors of Virginia Commonwealth University.
  • Summary
  • The Business Operations Support Coordinator will manage all aspects of departmental procurement activities, including personal reimbursements and travel coordination; responsible for data entry of arrest and summons information into Records Management System; responsible for coordinating and tracking accreditation standard proofs.
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping or other Businessrelated degree or equivalent experience.
  • Few years' experience in accounts payable, customer service, accounting and data entry.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of RealSource, university and state procurement policies and procedures.
  • Proficient time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze documents and manage electronic retention of accreditation proofs.
  • Ability to fit into a team environment characterized by shared accountabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage a variety of projects and to work independently.
  • Excellent ability to communicate and work effectively at all levels within and outside the University.
  • Ability to review documents, accounts and solve problems.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Must never have been convicted of a felony, crime involving moral turpitude or domestic violence.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, including fingerprinting.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RealSource and Banner Finance preferred.
