Global Neurosciences Institute is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented scheduling/ access coordinator to join our practice. The role is responsible for maximizing utilization of providers schedules while providing administrative functions that support the practice. This individual should have a strong background in commercial and Medicare/Medicaid health insurance plans. Experience with scheduling and customer service is required.
The Patient Access Coordinator is the point of contact for patients and families who request appointments, as well as providers and other staff members who need support.
The ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-volume setting while providing a positive patient experience is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Phone Triage
- Schedule patient appointments.
- Verification of benefits
- Previsit Registration
- Explain and educate patients on services and appointment details.
- Manage and optimize provider schedules.
- Schedule operations
- Patient check in/check out.
Education Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's Degree preferred.
Experience Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a highvolume medical setting required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of prior experience with scheduling and verification of benefits required.
- Previous experience in Neurology preferred.
Salary:
$17 - $22 per hour
