About the Role:
This position will be responsible for pulling loose glass and metal KD wraps for orders and securing them in cardboard boxes for shipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pulling loose glass and metal KD wraps for orders and securing them in cardboard boxes for shipment.
- Uses a pneumatic carton closer to staple the cardboard boxes closed.
- Lifts from the boxing table and moves to the appropriate location to be staged for shipping
- Use of hand trucks, pallet jacks and rolling carts on a regular basis to move completed boxes from table to staging area.
- Assist in various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, storing equipment, etc. to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Promote a cooperative work environment and support coworkers by interacting and responding respectfully and assisting in other areas as needed.
- Utilize scanner to record materials received and distributed.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of 1year production or assembly experience strongly.
- Flexibility to work overtime and Saturday depending on production.
- 810 hours (or more) on your feet.
- Ability to lift glass panels from lbs.
- Bending and lifting up to 100 pounds.
- Experience working with basic tools, utility knife, pneumatic carton closer, pallet jack, pliers, air compressor, hot glue gun and tape measure.
- Ability to learn and be proficient with various computer hardware and software to include, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Solid verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with a cando attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Must be a quick learner and able to use various computer hardware and software to include, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Collaborative team member with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
