The Job
- This is a new senior position that would oversee the daytoday running of the business in addition to having a leading role in putting together the team, processes and infrastructure needed to grow the company
- Our goal is to have the bandwidth to handle twotothree times our current workload in the next two years
Annual Salary:
$100K to $130K+ (very much dependent on experience, skill set and working location)
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position in the industry
- Technology savvy
- High level of familiarity with A/V technologies: audio, lighting, video, rigging, staging
- Willing and able to travel nationally and internationally
- Able to pass highsecurity background checks (ie: from US Secret Service)
- Scenic & Décor fabrication familiarity an asset
Responsibilities to Include
- Financial_
- Bookkeeping (QuickBooks)
- Client invoicing
- Vendor invoice review and payment
- Workers Comp. audit oversite
- Ensuring staff promptly reconcile their expenses/CC charges
- Ensuring Vendor W9's info is current
- Issuing of 1099's
- Coordination with payroll company (ADP)
- Benefits management: PTO Tracking, Health insurance reimbursements
- Negotiations / contracting
- Terminations
- Review and advise regarding smallprint of contracts we are being asked to sign
- Initiate, document and facilitate compliance
Examples:
version control, where files are stored, file sharing/naming, tracking project hours, backup, archiving projects
- Updating written company policies
- SAM registration keeping it current
- Right of Entries
- Reseller Certificates
- Insurance including dealing with claims (when/if this ever happens)
- Helping the senior management team focus on the longterm strategy in addition to their projectbased workloads
- Business development: Perhaps oversite of this team (only one person currently)
- Project/proposal budgeting
- Oversite of outside IT support
- Resellers certificate for DC
- Understanding 940/941 filings vs. payroll coding
