Roles and Responsibilities
Develops and implements ongoing engineering practices for all staff and operations
Effectively communicates and instructs other departments on the engineering policies and procedures to drive improvement
Develop and improve strategic objectives and processes including but not limited to all compliance and appropriate legal requirements; in coordination with operations and executive leadership
Manage multiple projects at once; plan, arrange, organize and projects, and communicate status to internal and external stakeholders.
Manages and drives improvements throughout the organization using data driven detection and prevention approach and quality tools such as; control plans, FMEA, flow charts, corrective actions, SPC, Six Sigma, Lean and 5s measures
Collects, analyzes and presents metrics and improvement suggestions
Lead audits and drives successful completion through the coordination of cross functional teams
Leverage industry trends to proactively identify issues and opportunities to implement improvements
Supervises employees to ensure they follow the company's policies and practices, including; counseling, time approval, performance management, etc.
Maintains appropriate staffing levels by following company's talent acquisition processes and interviewing/hiring practices
Responsible for meeting ISO 9001 and/or other quality system requirements in their department
Other duties as assigned
Skills, Education and Training
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related field required
Master's degree preferred
6 or more years experience in a related field
5 or more years management / supervisory experience
3 or more years experience in automated manufacturing environment with automation implementation/project management preferred
Proficient English abilities required
Email and written messaging with intermediate Excel knowledge
Required certifications:
Certified six sigma black belt, CQE
Familiarity with electronics, laptops, computers and all subcomponents preferred
Excellent time-management skills
