Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing and Coding Auditor to join our team.

As a Billing and Coding Auditor, you will be responsible for coordinating surveys/audits including tracking deliverables, tasks, and corrective actions to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry regulations.

This is a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our organization


Responsibilities:


  • Manages ongoing auditing and monitoring in accordance with the established Annual Audit Work Plan and relevant policies and procedures, including coordination of physician prebilling reviews and followup on corrective actions identified. Ensures timely execution of compliance program elements and maintenance of established compliance metrics.
  • Assists in the development of appropriate policies and educational documents related to compliance with documentation and coding requirements.
  • Develops and implements processes that will effectively monitor/track compliance requirements, including reports, performance metrics and scorecards for the Billing/ Coding Audit team.
  • Provides education on coding and documentation requirements as part of New Hire Orientation for staff, oneonone sessions for newly hired clinicians, and inservices on regulatory changes as appropriate and timely.
  • Manages weekly quality reporting notifications (MIPS) for practice clinical operations.
  • Performs other jobrelated duties as required.

Skills:


  • Demonstrated physician practice business office operations/ revenue cycle experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or errors
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent


Licensure/Certification:

Medical Coding Certification (CPC, RHIT, or RHIA)

Medical Coding Certification in Ophthalmology


Pay:
$65, $80,000.00 per year
