Duties
Under the responsibility of the practice physician and within their area of competence, the PA participates directly in the care of inpatients. Midlevel practitioners admit and round on inpatients under the supervision of a physician.
Qualifications
Education Requirements
Masters in Nursing or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Current PA license
Minimum Requirements
Current CT Controlled Substance Registry
Current DEA
Minimum of two years of experience as an PA
Preferred Qualifications
Critical-thinking skills, problem solving skills and communication skills
Responsiveness to patient and clinical needs - Customer service focused
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Flexibility in scheduling-ability to work all shifts
Ability to work on teams and to provide leadership to groups
