Responsibilities:


  • Manage and develop team to fully understand and support all the processes and the requirements on Market Risk, PnL or Income Attribution topics for Fixed Income (11 persons)
  • Leading weekly team meeting to review priorities and provide guidance to the team regarding market risk, PNL and Income attribution production processes.
  • Escalating issues related to Market risk, PnL or Income attribution processes to senior management and Global Process Owners when necessary
  • Organizing training sessions for team individuals to develop their expertise on these processes, as well as improve their business understanding
  • Following closely production KPIs, challenging the team if needed, and raising alerts to stakeholders (MARK, GBSU,RISQ) when necessary
  • Challenging and validating the analysis and explanations provided by the team about market risk figures
  • Working closely with the trading teams with a deep knowledge of their business, clients and strategies;
  • Provide a deep analysis of trading desk positions and risk exposures;
  • Supervise P&L explanation by its attributes tying back to risk sensitivities
  • Continuous enhancement of P&L/Risk processes and systems for the MMG FIC team
  • Provide expertise on market risks, P&L for Fixed Income asset class
  • Supervision of the monitoring of risk limit consumptions and followup of breaches with Front-Office and Risk management;
  • Provide explanation about the different metric highlights to trading and senior management;
  • Be involved with analysis and sign off of valuation and risk metrics for NPC or projects
  • Work with other departments and Paris head office on transversal and regulatory projects

DIVISION DESCRIPTION:


The Risk Management Department contributes to the sustainable growth of the Societe Generale group through its expertise, understanding of risks, and risk management techniques.

The department's mission is to independently analyze, assess, manage and monitor risk-taking activities with the objective of achieving, together with the first line-of-defense, the best possible outcome for the bank.

The department oversees the enterprise, strategic, credit, market, liquidity, operational, model, and other risks of the corporate and investment banking business activities.


Within RISQ, the Metrics Monitoring Group(MMG) major missions are to meet the regulatory challenges of tomorrow, to support the development of the business lines and to enable the Group to meet its ambitions in terms of client satisfaction and efficiency.

The risk professional sought for this position will work actively on key market risk and counterparty credit risk initiatives within the region.

The Counterparty and Market Exposures analysis team works in coordination with other risk departments (asset class specialists, market and counterparty risk officers, enterprise risk teams) to ensure the risk management program is of the right standards and evolves in accordance with best practices.

The Fixed Income Group(FIC) is responsible for covering all Fixed Income trading desks, including vanilla and exotic rates products, credit trading, financing and Asset Backed Products.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


Must Have:


  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a financial industry company with good knowledge of Fixed Income risk and P&L metrics.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income instruments
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Prone to take initiatives
  • Reactive, detailoriented, driven to work in a fastlearning environment
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a dynamic, deadlinefocused environment
  • Master's in financial engineering or finance

Nice to Have:


  • Knowledge of volatility instruments would be a plus
  • Python programming language.
