Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist the EHS&S team with developing, implementing, and supporting safety programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement in safety protocols. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact. Provide training and education to employees on safety protocols, environmental sustainability practices, and regulatory compliance. Analyze data and metrics to track progress towards safety and sustainability goals and recommend adjustments to strategies as needed.

Assist the EHS&S team with investigating incidents and accidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions with effectiveness check strategies to prevent recurrence.

Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in EHS management, safety technologies, and sustainable business practices. Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders on matters related to safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability.


Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:

Close working relationship with all departments and levels of management within the MFG facility, Distribution Center, and Corporate Offices.
FTE and Agency workers will be key stakeholders


Qualifications & Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles, with a focus on safety and sustainability initiatives within a cGMP Manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards related to occupational health, safety, and environmental protection.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Certifications such as Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), or equivalent preferred.

Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Commitment to promoting a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement within the organization.
