Our commitment to excellence ensures that mission-critical systems receive the utmost attention and expertise.SHINE Systems is currently seeking a Communications Specialist located in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Communications Specialist provides oversight and management of the communications equipment and Communications Security (COMSEC).
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Recommend technical solutions and conduct market research to find new technologies that can be used to ensure ATI operators accomplish their mission objectives.
- Maintain and support all equipment necessary to support field operations, including testing the equipment and training ATI personnel.
- Provide support to logistics staff regarding inventory of COMSEC and other communication equipment.
- Maintain and log all satellite systems, Iridium phones, and pagers that are used by ATI.
- Support technical decisions made by ATI senior management regarding communications equipment and protocols.
- Track and maintain all COMSEC material and CCI equipment;
- Support ongoing OCONUS field activities as well as CONUS operations;
- IT/laptop accountability, maintenance and distribution, as required;
- Follow DIA logistics procedures and protocols to account for ATI assigned property; and
- Serve as backup for the specific objectives, projects, and duties performed on a daily basis by the logistics coordinators.
Experience/Education:
- 5 years of experience with direct knowledge and functional expertise in DoD logistics and COMSEC
- Bachelors degree preferred
