    Description


    Wright-Pierce, an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater and civil infrastructure, is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our company.

    The position entails a wide variety of challenging mechanical design projects requiring unique and creative approaches. This position can be located in our Maitland, FL or Tampa, FL offices.
    ResponsibilitiesDesigning and drafting HVAC equipment and accessories, and plumbing designs for water/wastewater treatment facilities.
    Preliminary Design Reports for HVAC and Plumbing disciplines.
    Reviewing all engineering calculations and design systems in accordance with established policies, standards, procedures, and code.
    Providing supervision and training to all junior to mid-level engineers and designers.
    Preparation, review and quality check of all plans and specifications for permitting, bidding and construction.
    Actively manage and schedule engineers and designers to meet all deadlines while maintaining quality design.
    Participate in project coordination with Electrical, Structural, Civil and Architectural disciplines.

    Coordinate and consult with others on design, layout and/or detail components and systems to resolve design issues or installation constraints.

    Undertake site surveys and field investigations, as needed, and develop drawings and reports for system installations and modifications.
    Support construction activities during RFI's, submittal reviews, punch list and reports.
