Mechanical HVAC System Design Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical HVAC System Design Engineer to join their team in Maitland, Florida. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical HVAC system design, with proficiency in utilizing Revit software. As a member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of HVAC systems for various commercial, institutional, and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to develop comprehensive HVAC system designs that meet project requirements, codes, and standards.
Perform load calculations, equipment selections, and ductwork design for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Utilize Revit software to create detailed 3D models, drawings, and construction documents for HVAC systems.
Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data and ensure accurate design implementation.
Assist in the preparation of technical specifications, reports, and design documentation.
Coordinate with mechanical contractors and vendors to review shop drawings and resolve design issues during construction.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to HVAC system design and Revit software.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical HVAC system design, preferably in consulting engineering or construction industry.
Proficiency in using Revit MEP software for HVAC system design and modeling.
Strong understanding of HVAC design principles, codes, and standards (ASHRAE, IMC, IECC, etc.).
Experience with energy modeling software (e.g., Trace 700, eQuest) is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is desirable but not required.
