    Overview: Sedgwick, with one of the largest liability expert teams globally, specializes in supporting and resolving various liability claims, including property, general, auto, product, and professional liabilities.

    Primary Purpose: Processing low-level general liability claims, determining benefits, adhering to industry best practices, and negotiating settlements with oversight.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Process low-level general liability claims, assign reserve values, make necessary payments, and settle claims within designated authority levels.
    • Develop and execute action plans to resolve claims, facilitate return-to-work efforts, and approve claim payments.
    • Administer subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements in communication with claimants and clients.
    • Ensure accurate documentation of claim files and correct claims coding.
    • Maintain professional client relationships.

    Additional Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Perform assigned duties and support quality programs.
    • Travel as required.

    Qualifications:

    Education & Licensing: Bachelor's degree preferred.

    Experience: Two years of claims management experience or equivalent training.

    Skills & Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of regulations, disability duration, medical management, and more.
    • Strong oral and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
    • PC literacy, including Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and meet service expectations.

    Work Environment: Flexible accommodations considered, credit security clearance may be required.

    Mental: Critical thinking, problem-solving, stress management, and deadline-oriented.

    Physical: Computer use and occasional travel.

    Auditory/Visual: Hearing, vision, and verbal communication.
