Description

The E/E modeling tool PREEvision offers customers many options to customize the product to their own needs. One component of the configuration options is the adaptation of the views and actions that a user sees or is allowed to perform. This is controlled through a role-based permission model, which is read at runtime and filters out all unauthorized elements. The underlying mechanism is based on the outdated Eclipse E3 framework and needs to be replaced.

It is important to us that you get to know working at Vector on site. In order to balance your studies and work, we offer mobile work after individual coordination, depending on the specific task. Please note that pure remote work is not possible.

Your profile:

Studies in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering or a comparable degree program with software development components
Good programming skills in Java
Experience/knowledge in Eclipse
Ideally experience/knowledge in Eclipse RCP, model-based development
Good German and English skills

Your tasks:

Analysis of the current mechanism for authorization and filtering of UI elements
Development of a new mechanism based on Eclipse E4 for authorization and filtering of UI elements
Prototype implementation of the new mechanism and verification of
