Veridian Homes, an innovative company with an emphasis on smart growth and green built practices, has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Home Building Services Manager to join our team As Home Building Services Manager, you will lead and coordinate building information modeling (BIM) standards in the development, implementation, and enforcement of all related projects and files through the training, development, and mentoring of the Home Building Services Team.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and monitoring departmental strategic goals aligned with the company's plan.
  • Leading team meetings and participating in various leadership forums and training sessions.
  • Reviewing all drafting jobs and ensure the accuracy of completed estimates.
  • Maintaining and updating monthly base home projections, incorporating changes, and anticipating future cost trends.
  • Contributing to the creation and enhancement of home plans and construction details.
  • Preparing departmental reports and communicating essential information.
  • Administering change orders, managing contact updates, and approving invoicing.
  • Serving as backup for various team tasks and liaise with external partners to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborating with Production Managers to identify and resolve improvement opportunities.
  • Working with our remodeling division, Trussbridge, to update estimates and manage project schedules.
  • Ensuring consistent communication of progress on initiatives and updating metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Building Construction, estimating, or drafting or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably within the home building industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Strong decisionmaking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent conflict resolution abilities to handle disputes and challenges within the team or with external partners.
  • A track record of fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate team members towards common goals and objectives.
  • Experience in performance management, including setting clear expectations, providing constructive feedback, and conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly and professionally to team members, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Proactive problemsolving skills to address issues and obstacles quickly and efficiently, ensuring project timelines and goals are met.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
