Responsibilities:

Travel to job sites in the service area, and work with dispatch to ensure the schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the customer.
Diagnosing issues with and repairing residential garage doors, openers, and other garage door components.
Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with all Ideal Garage standards.
Clearly communicate to the homeowner the issue and what we can do to fix it through the utilization of our digital analysis
Identify, report, and educate the homeowner on potential opportunities for additional business
Performing physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and installing garage doors, garage door openers, moving and lifting other heavy objects and often climbing on a ladder while working.

Qualifications:

Work Behavior:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders, work from heights.
Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, rain, snow, or sleet
Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, stoop on a frequent basis for extended periods of time
Must be able to communicate effectively, problem solve, critically think, and be mechanically inclined
Must be able to drive a company vehicle for extended periods of time
Must be able to complete repetitive hand movements such as grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting, and turning for extended periods of time
Must be able to speak to customers in person and over the phone
