The Global Sports Apparel (GSA) Supply & Inventory Planning (S&IP) Team owns inventory for Promo Sports Marketing end-to-end (E2E); combines marketplace insights, inventory goals, and product hierarchy to craft supply in support of Athlete demand; and is a key partner on supply delivery, inventory forecasting and inventory health
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Were looking for a Senior Supply & Inventory Manager Lead to join our team
This role will support and participate in strategies and planning execution, serving as the consumer teams primary point of contact for S&IP needs. This candidate will support representation at the Consumer Leadership table, storytelling overall supply health, risks and opportunities. This role is the E2E Inventory expert & main contact for key partners on consumer dimension. Recommending supply shaping strategy for consumer segment based on marketplace insights, inventory goals, and product hierarchy is an expectation. This role leads integration of capability work within their consumer team, partners cross functionally, and explains key metrics and actions.
You'll bring a consistent track record of understanding the key financial and business drivers for our business; imagining and articulating a positive future vision for the team; willing to take calculated risks and make decisions even if information is lacking or time is short. This person will need to successfully collaborate with cross-functional team members on a regular basis and proactively address, resolve, and/or raise any operational issues affecting the timely purchasing of product and E2E inventory health.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON A typical week revolves around facilitating twice/month delivery planning process and ensure that materials are planned & purchased on the appropriate timelines under the Demand Supply Management (DSM) function while supporting the marketplace supply strategy supporting global inventory health targets.
This role is responsible for carrying out and handling supply commitments through creation of purchase orders (POs) for procurement of Nikes finished goods and the management of buy exceptions. You will maintain any changes to POs, including product movement from factory to distribution center. You will review POs for conformance to company policy and may address issues related to delivery.
Youll be conducting analysis to proactively identify challenges, at the same time be able to tell a story, driving clarity for your key partners thru key business metrics. You will be asked to be the SME on projects and support key initiatives that have an impact to our day-to-day business.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH This role reports to the Supply & Inventory Planning Director and works closely with the following cross-functional partners: Promo Sports Marketing, Promo Sports Marketing Buying team, Inventory Operations, Global Supply Planning and Merchandising.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
7 years experience in supply/inventory planning or supply chain
2 years additional experience or other relevant subject area
Experience leading strategy across peer groups that are not direct reports
Excellent written, spoken and visual communication skills. Specifically, well proven capability converting sophisticated concepts into easy to interpret stories that resonate across a varied audience
Flexibility in switching from strategic to tactical and operational levels of thinking and working, specifically in strategy deployment
Outstanding interpersonal, influencing and facilitation skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally to cultivate positive relationships between key players and immediate team
Validated analytical skills, finding relevant information within large data sets and build executive story
Solid understanding of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros), Tableau and Cognos
Ability to demonstrate good decision making in ambiguous circumstances
Microsoft Power Business Intelligence and SAP experience preferred
