    Our Center for Women & Infants at Saint Joseph Hospital was designed exclusively for new moms and babies. Every inch of this special floor is dedicated to the care, comfort and well-being of new mothers and infants.

    With 18 expansive labor and delivery rooms with large jetted tubs, a dedicated elevator that goes directly to the floor and 42 private rooms that serve as a home away from home after childbirth, Saint Joseph Hospital is a great place for families.

    We also have a Level III NICU on-site.
    We are proud to be a Baby Friendly Hospital and a private teaching hospital.

    Shift Details:
    Fulltime - 36 Hours / Night Shift

    Unit/Location:
    Saint Joseph Hospital, Denver, CO
    Intermountain Healthcare offers a generous benefits package that contributes to the overall health and compensation of each caregiver.
    ASN / ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain your BSN from an accredited program within four (4) years of hire unless you possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting, required

    • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association required (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service)
    • At least one (1) year of nursing experience in a comparable high acuity Labor and Delivery care setting, highly preferred
    Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).

    Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.

    This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.

    and -Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).- Saint Joseph Hospital
