Job Duties

  • This position is wage/hourly and will work Monday-Friday, during core business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. There are no state benefits offered with this position. This position is authorized to work for a renewable, maximum of 1500 hours per year.

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) is seeking a motivated individual to serve as the Office of Patient Continuum Service's specialist.

This position will complete tasks related to contract staff access to electronic health records. The incumbent must be available at least 8 hours during normal business hours weekly.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Managing Electronic Health Records access request for Community Services Board discharge liaisons.
  • Engaging with Community Service Boards to assure documentation and approval for access is obtained.
  • Assuring security training certificates are received from those requesting accounts.
  • Submitting and monitor tickets to helpdesk for COV account and EHR access.
  • Monitoring list of access regularly to assure compliance and use.
  • Engaging with community service board users to troubleshoot or connect to helpdesk resources.
  • Managing request access for state facility users for access to BHL/VCC.
  • Monitoring list of users regularly and request deactivation of accounts as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience performing general administrative support in a professional setting.
  • Knowledge of basic IT security measures.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Additional Considerations

  • Knowledge and experience in Community Services Boards, Electronic Health Records, and state facilities.
  • Understanding of the public mental health system.
  • Understanding of security and IT risks.
  • Experience in Health Information Management.
