As a Security Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls organization for Internet of Things (IoT) Security and Endpoint Vulnerability Management team, you serve as a seasoned member of a team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior.

Job responsibilities

Executes security solutions design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to apply knowledge of existing security solutions to satisfy security requirements for internal clients (e.g., product, platform, application owners)Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsApplies specialized tools (e.g.

, vulnerability scanner) to analyze and correlate incident data to identify, interpret, and summarize the probability and impact of threats when determining specific vulnerabilitiesLeads delivery of continuity-related awareness, training, educational activities, and exercisesAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering and cybersecurity concepts and 3+ years applied experience.

Knowledge of the Internet of Things (IoT) domain, platforms & Machine to Machine (M2M) communicationExperience with Vulnerability Management for end-user applications, tools and devices.

Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleProficient in coding in one of more languages to include C/C++, Java and Python.

Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, applicant resiliency, and securityUnderstanding of operating systems - Window, iOS and/or UnixExperience in public cloud environment with BYOD ecosystemPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Knowledge of virtualization, networking and network security practices (firewalls, encryption, and secure architecture)Experience with working with endpoint security tools, such as Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, McAfee, etc.

Embedded system and device development.
Certifications in one or more of the following

Security:
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Cloud:
AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or AWS Developer certificationNetworking: Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional (CCNA/P), VMWare Certified Technical Associate - Network Virtualization (VCTA-NV)
