Associate, Security Settlements Support

Requirements:


  • Knowledge of international settlements (Latin America and Europe), financial markets, and the lifecycle events of a trade.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Spanish a plus. Able to communicate across different business lines and departments effectively.
  • Operate independently in a dynamic environment with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical skills, works diligently. Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and provide a thorough analysis. Be able to create an action plan that offers solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • 13 years' experience in trade settlement.
  • Timely and accurate settlement of trades. Investigate and resolve trade related issues.
  • Daily Cash Settlement, Security Fails and Position reconciliations. Investigate and resolve trade related breaks.
  • ADR conversion
  • Assist accounting department with helping to resolve GL breaks.
  • Provide custom reporting based on stakeholder needs.
  • Participate in providing support for internal and external audits.
  • Participate in testing system upgrades and enhancements, BCP testing, and other industry sponsored tests (SIFMA).

Qualifications:

Work Experience:

  • 13 years' experience in a trade settlement role.

Systems Knowledge:
Euroclear, Broadridge, Gloss, NETX, Alert, Bloomberg, Proficient in Excel

Working Conditions:
Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
