A reputable private practice in Manhattan, New York is seeking a skilled and dedicated Anesthesiologist to join their team in an outpatient setting at a state-of-the-art surgical center. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, performing a variety of surgical cases and utilizing advanced techniques in regional anesthesia.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive base salary.

Responsibilities:

Provide anesthesia services for a range of outpatient surgical cases, including orthopedics (requiring regional anesthesia), general surgery, ENT, podiatry, and plastics.
Perform pre-operative evaluations and assessments to determine the most appropriate anesthesia plan for each patient.
Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and optimal pain management.
Utilize ultrasound-guided blocks to perform regional anesthesia techniques, optimizing patient outcomes and minimizing post-operative pain.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient patient care, including coordination of anesthesia services with surgical schedules.
Document patient information, anesthesia plans, and perioperative care in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in ambulatory anesthesia and ultrasound-guided blocks through continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications:

Medical degree and completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program.
Fellowship training in ambulatory anesthesia and proficiency in ultrasound-guided blocks is preferred. However, candidates with strong experience in these areas will also be considered.
Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.
Excellent clinical skills in the administration of anesthesia and pain management, with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing multiple cases and prioritizing patient care in a fast-paced surgical center.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, surgeons, and healthcare professionals.
Dedication to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
