Duties & Responsibilities:


Under direct supervision, assists in the Maintenance of barcoded Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) two-bin inventory systems, which vary in complexity and magnitude, for the purpose of increasing efficiency in Supply Chain Management and, as a result, enhancing NYC Health + Hospitals' ability to provide patient-centered quality care.


SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Signin on time and in uniform.
  • Perform daily replenishment of Blue Bin PAR locations using scanning devices
  • Assists with the creation and maintenance of Blue Bin PAR locations
  • Assists with the building and layout of new shelving and storage solutions
  • Assists with training and providing customer service support to facility users
  • Participates in team meetings, QA/PI programs and training activities
  • Conducts physical inventory and periodic cycle counts of warehouse supplies
  • All aspects related to waste and pallets removal after breakdown of supplies
  • Maintain infection control procedures by cleaning and wiping down assigned areas
  • Ensures that all expired products are removed from inventory and appropriately discarded
  • Keeps assigned work area neat and clean
  • Operate equipment such as electrical/manual jacks to transport supplies to various areas on an as needed basis.
  • Uphold Corporate and Departmental policies.
  • Assist coworkers with assistance when needed.
  • Promotes a positive & pleasant attitude conducive to the workplace which enhances the Mission, Vision and Value Statement of NYC Health + Hospital and Harlem Hospital.
  • Meets all compliance standards/requirements such as Annual Physical Evaluation and PeopleSoft ELM Trainings
  • Enhances personal and professional development through external educational offerings

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline; or
  • High school diploma or its educational equivalent; and
  • Two (2) years of fulltime satisfactory experience in supply chain management, stock control and inventory, materials support or related area.
