Are you ready to direct the operation of Facilities, and maintenance at a cell therapy site? Are you skilled in coordinating outside contract support for internal and external site operations for a GMP facility? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
As the Director of Facilities, you will oversee site energy conservation efforts, manage projects that offer significant financial savings from an energy usage and conservation standpoint, and prepare, execute, and oversee capital and operating budgets.
What you will do:
- Responsible for managing the standards, methods, and procedures for the design, modification, and maintenance of equipment within the site but not limited to manufacturing, QC, and critical utilities and noncritical utilities.
- Plans, executes and tracks a variety of maintenance projects.
- Contribute to the development of department strategy.
- Coordinates crossfunctional efforts to resolve manufacturing, packaging, maintenance, and manufacturing issues in projects and daytoday operational activities.
- Supports and contributes to site continuous improvement initiatives.
- Organizes, plans, and schedules maintenance project work.
- Develop policies and Standard Operating procedures for equipment and facility maintenance and calibration and ensure are kept up to date and reflect current regulatory requirements.
- Drive Lean ways of working across all areas of F&E and Operations as applicable.
- Works on moderately complex problems, where analysis of situations or data requires an indepth evaluation of various factors.
- Locates and diagnoses failure replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
- Performs with guidance routine evaluation studies of utilities and process equipment and systems factors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Facilities operations or project engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
- Possesses mechanical and electrical acumen including HVAC, Purified Water system, facilities utilities, P&ID's, control schematics, and equipment specifications are a must.
- A working knowledge of facilities and utilities principles for process equipment and controls.
- Strong leadership and change management skills.
- Ability to lead Lean and drive continuous improvement including reliabilitybased maintenance.
- Strong technical problemsolving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in a crossfunctional environment.
- High degree of organizational skills.
- Strategic thinking with strong business acumen.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management including senior management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading facilities operations in a GMP manufacturing facility
- Pharmaceutical or Biologics Manufacturing operation experience
- Experience in energy conservation efforts
