    Description

    A private equity fund located in New York City is actively seeking a self-motivated and hardworking professional to join their staff as their new Private Equity Analyst / Associate.

    Responsibilities

    The Private Equity Analyst / Associate will be responsible for:

    • Executing new transactions
    • Active portfolio management, including board-level participation
    • Assisting in managing relationships with key limited partners, private equity sponsors, and industry intermediaries/advisors
    • Completing other tasks as assigned
    Qualifications
    • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in investment banking (such as an alternative investment placement firm), management consulting, or private equity
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; comfortable working in financial models and analyzing large data sets
    • Advanced Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) skills
    • Strong project management capabilities
    • Demonstrated leadership skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to independently formulate an investment thesis based on industry, company, financial, and competitive analyses
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills; able to interact confidently in high-visibility settings with senior management and external clients
