    Description
    Transportation Operations Supervisor

    The Operations Supervisor role at First Student is all about overseeing day-to-day field operations with a focus on maintaining high levels of customer service and efficiency in a safe manner.

    Job Description:

    • Communicate job requirements and responsibilities to drivers
    • Provide counseling and evaluation reports to local management
    • Ensure drivers perform assigned duties correctly and safely
    • Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare necessary reports
    • Handle customer service issues and inquiries professionally
    • Monitor driver safety and performance
    • Assist in driver recruitment
    • Prepare operational reports and maintain records
    • Conduct road checks, routing, training, and other relevant tasks
    • Meet all driver qualifications at the location
    • Obtain and maintain CDL to operate vehicles
    • Perform any additional assigned tasks
    Qualifications:
    • Supervisory capability with a diverse workforce
    • Proficiency in MS Office products, especially Excel and Word
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Basic math proficiency
    • Previous transportation knowledge is a plus
    • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
    • Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities
