Job Description:
We are looking for a qualified individual to join our team as an Emmet Specialist.

In this role, you will be responsible for testing the hardware and software of safety components in elevators, as well as evaluating technical documents for functional, electrical, and mechanical safety.

You will also be responsible for assessing safety components through hazard and risk analyses and creating test reports.

Additionally, you will work closely with elevator manufacturers to support the development of innovative elevator systems, controls, and other mechanical safety components.

You will also serve as a point of contact for implementing functional safety requirements and collaborate with other departments, such as the Center of Competence for Functional Safety and Cyber Security.

This role may also involve occasional international travel (3-5 weeks per year) to expand your network and knowledge in the field.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control and Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Alternatively, relevant qualifications in material handling technology as a master craftsman/technician or recognition as an expert
  • Previous experience in functional safety, functional safety engineering, controls, and sensors is advantageous, ideally in the context of material handling systems or elevators
  • Knowledge of technical risk analysis methods and tools, as well as validation and verification of test results, is beneficial
  • Strong communication skills and confident demeanor when interacting with customers
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
