The Biochemistry Department Shared Instrumentation Facility (SIF) Instrumentation Coordinator is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the SIF, ensuring seamless support for research activities within the department and School of Medicine.

This role involves comprehensive oversight of equipment, user assistance and training, contract negotiation, maintenance acquisition and maintenance of new equipment, as well as invoicing and accounts receivable for all SIF holdings.

Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
Proficient computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) in order to create instruction material, reports and equipment brochures.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently in the completion of assigned tasks.
Ability to work collaboratively with others.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
Bachelor's Degree and two years of directly related experience.

High School Diploma/equivalent and eight years of directly related experience.
Ability to troubleshoot minor malfunctions of scientific equipment holdings
Master's Degree
Background in chemistry or molecular biology
