    Summary
    We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Clinical Protocol Technician (CPT).

    This role will play a vital part in supporting the day-to-day conduct of research studies within the Bogalusa Heart Study (BHS) cohort.

    The CPT will be instrumental in recruiting participants for different studies within the BHS cohort, scheduling study visits, and ensuring accurate data collection and documentation.

    Additionally, responsibilities include assisting in conducting participant chart reviews and recruiting potential participants, performing patient visits (both in-clinic and remote), and administering various assessments such as physical performance tests, anthropometric measurements, and non-invasive cardiovascular and related conditions test procedures.

    The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of clinical research protocols, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Highly organized and detail oriented
    • Ability to complete detailed assignments by assigned deadlines and to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
    • Willing to travel occasionally for training, to conduct procedures, and to attend coordinating center meetings
    • Proficient with Microsoft applications Required Education and/or Experience
    • High School Diploma/equivalent Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in a biological related field is strongly preferred
    • Experience working with patients in a clinical or hospital setting is strongly preferred
    • Strong familiarity with and ability to follow research clinical protocols are preferred Compensation Information This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 22.
