    Commercial Construction - Assistant Controller - Leadership

    As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of our organization.

    You will be tasked with managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.

    This position requires deep knowledge of the construction industry, excellent financial acumen, and a keen eye for detail.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, including experience with fiscal budgeting, financial reporting, and AIA billing.

    Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

    Manage and supervise accounting department employees; responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership.
    Maintain and oversee all financial procedures and controls in place.
    Prepare and analyze monthly financial and statistical reports to present to senior management.
    Reconcile account balances and bank statements, maintain the general ledger, and prepare month-end close procedures.
    Coordinate and complete annual audits.
    Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.
    Ensure company financial accounts, such as credit cards, are paid on time.
    Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
    Manage the AIA billing process, ensuring accuracy, and compliance.
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
    A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the construction industry.
    Knowledge of AIA billing, fiscal budgeting, and financial reporting.
    Proficiency with accounting software, digital tools, and applications.
    Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
    Superior attention to detail with an ability to analyze and use data for strategic planning.
